Notifications

Notifications carry the signal that needs you: assignments, review requests, and mentions. The design goal is that you can close Plain and trust it to come find you.

What notifies you

• An issue or PR is assigned to you.
• Your review is requested on a pull request.
• You are @-mentioned in any conversation.
• An agent session you started finishes or fails.

The feed

The in-app feed collects notifications in order, streaming in live. Each entry links to its source; mark items read individually, archive them, or clear the lot with mark-all-read. Unread state syncs across devices, so reading on your phone clears the web badge.

Push devices

The mobile apps register for push automatically, and tapping a push deep-links to the exact screen: the conversation, the issue, the PR. Devices are listed in your settings and can be removed at any time; signing out removes the device's push registration with it.
